iGMA: MARIAN IS THE SOLE QUEEN OF PRIME TIME!

In Mega Manila which comprises 58 percent of total television households nationwide, Amaya immediately edged out competition with an average household share of 35.7 percent (for the period of May 30 to June 10 based on overnight ratings data), 3.5 percentage points and 4.0 percentage points higher than ABS-CBN's Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin 32.2 percent and Guns and Roses 31.7 percent, respectively.

For the same period in Total Urban Luzon, Amaya scored 35.1 percent, up by 1.9 percentage points and 3.3 percentage points against ABS-CBN's Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin 33.2 percent and Guns and Roses 31.8%, respectively.

Amaya, portrayed by Kapuso Network's Primetime Queen Marian Rivera, has remained as one of the favorite primetime soaps on the Telebabad block. The original drama series also features a cast of the country's most bankable artists including two of the industry's most desired leading men: Sid Lucero as Bagani and Mikael Daez as Lumad.

The epic series is expected to set even higher ratings on the coming days especially when Amaya, whose heart is filled with rage and revenge against her stepmother Dian Lamitan (Gina Alajar), discovers that the prince she dearly loves is the son of the man responsible for her father's death.

After being turned into a slave (uripon), Amaya becomes totally helpless under the abuse of Lamitan as well as her stepsister Marikit (Rochelle Pangilinan).

Will Amaya finally close her heart to Bagani and turn vindictive towards the man who captured her heart? Will Bagani defy his father's will, save Amaya and her people from slavery?

Expect more revelations and twists as the drama continues in AMAYA weeknights after Captain Barbell on GMA Telebabad. --Text and photo courtesy of GMA Network
